The following video demonstrates how to add an experience in Gate Access:
Adding an Experience
Do you have a meaningful prison ministry experience to share? Are you ready to record it in Gate Access so others can benefit? We can help!
After logging in to Gate Access, you’ll land on the My Ministry page. Click the Experiences tab, located just above the calendar.
If you’ve added experiences before, they will appear in the Experiences card. If this is your first time, the card will be empty and display the message “No experiences recorded yet.” But don’t worry — that’s about to change!
Click the +Add button on the right side of the Experiences card.
In the Content card, enter a Title and then write about your experience in the Description box.
Next, move to the Details card.
Select the Date of the experience. This field defaults to today’s date. If you’re assigned to multiple facilities, select the correct one from the dropdown. If you’re assigned to only one, it will appear automatically.
If the experience involved a resident, select their name from the dropdown. If not, simply leave this field blank.
Once all required fields are complete, the Submit button will turn from gray to purple. Click Submit.
A pop-up will ask, “Are you sure?” Remember, once an experience is submitted, it cannot be edited. If you’re certain, click Submit again.
Your experience has been submitted and will display in the Experiences card.
Check the Status column to see where your submission stands. Submitted means it’s awaiting review. Oversight will update it to Approved or Revision Requested. If Revision Requested appears, you’ll receive an email with details. Simply return to the Experiences tab, click on the experience, make the necessary changes, and click Submit again.
You have just added an experience in Gate Access. Thank you for your service — and remember, from log-in to log-out, we’re here to help!
