Overview: This article is intended to provide a series of steps to view and dismiss a notification within the Global Header Notifications.
Volunteers will receive an alert in their Global Header when there is an unread message or notification that requires their attention.
Step 1 Notifications will appear in the Global Header, located in the top right corner of the screen.
A Red Notification Icon indicates that there is an urgent unread message.
An Orange Notification Icon indicates that there is an unread message.
- A Notification Icon without a red or orange dot indicates that there are no unread messages.
Step 2 To view a notification, click the Notification Icon in the Global Header. The Notifications drawer will open. The Notifications drawer has two tabs.
- The All Tab displays all unread notifications. Urgent notifications will have a red title and appear at the top of the list.
- The Dismissed Tab displays notifications that have been read. Dismissed notifications will be automatically deleted after 30 days.
Step 3 To dismiss a notification in the All Tab, click the X inside the notification. This will move the notification to the Dismissed Tab.
Step 4 To undo a dismissed notification, click the Revert Icon (left arrow) inside the notification.
- Note: The notification will move back to the All Tab.
Step 5 When you have no new notifications the Notification Icon in the Global header will still display without a red or orange dot. This means that you are up to date on all your notifications.
