Overview of Regional Role
Overview: This article is intended to provide an overview of the specific features and functionality of the Gate Access website available to you when you log in as a Regional user. We will discuss the intended use of each section, and how they can be used to support the prison ministry.
Type of System Access: The Type of System Access/Permissions needed to follow this article are: Regional Default Permissions.
The Applications Steps will allow you to customize the standard application template to meet the specific needs of the region, a zone, or an individual facility. From the Applications Screen you will see the option to Add Step Template, see the Name of previously created templates, the Description of each template and the option to Edit or Delete.
These Application Steps Templates can then be added to applications on the New Applicant screen under the Steps tab.
- Note: Only one Applications Steps Template can be added to an application.
Circuits will give you the ability to Add a Circuit. You will also see the Name, Circuit Overseer, their email, mobile number, and the zone the circuit is in. You can also Edit or Delete circuit information from this screen as well.
Congregations will give you the ability to Add or review congregation information within your region. You will see the congregation Name, the City the congregation is located in, congregation Number, the Language, Email, Circuit, and Zone the congregation is in. You can also Edit or Delete congregation information.
There are 4 areas in Gate Access where you have the option to upload files: Correspondence, Facilities, Inmates, and Volunteers. Document Types helps you keep uploaded files organized by creating Categories for each of the 4 modules. You’ll also have the option to delete Categories that are no longer in use.
Once you’ve created the categories, the next time you go to upload a file, you’ll see the option appear under the Document Type dropdown menu of the corresponding module.
Zones will give you the ability to Add a zone. You will also see the Name, and the Description of the zone. You can also Edit or Delete zone information from this screen as well.
